Let S t be the Markov semigroup of a particle system with state space F Z d where F is a nite set. Suppose for some probability measure and for a sequence of times t n % 1, lim n!1 S tn exists. It has been conjectured that under very general conditions this limit is an invariant measure for the semi-group. Recently Mountford proved it when d = 1 using ABL coupling. Here we present a shorter proof using relative entropy.
